Sixth Memorial Shooting Tournament “Ištvan Poljanac“ held




The memorial shooting tournament, which has traditionally been held for the sixth year in a row at the Military Academy in honour of Professor Lieutenant Colonel Ištvan Poljanac, was held in a different format this weekend at the Military Academy and the Military Grammar School shooting ranges.
On the first day of the tournament, competitors competed in the 25m small-calibre pistol event in the MA’s pistol shooting range. A total of 20 competitors from 7 clubs competed in the general competition.The most successful competitor was military employee Dimitrije Grgić with 575 points, while military employee Jasmina Milovanović took second place with only one point less. Serbian National Team representative Duško Petrov took third place. In the team classification, SC Crvena Zvezda took first place, the home team - SC “Akademac” took second place, while third place was taken by SC “Novi Sad 1790”.
On the second day of the tournament, a competition for the Military Grammar School and the Military Vocational School students was held at the newly opened air shooting range at the Military Grammar School’s hall of residence. The Military Vocational School students got excellent scores, winning all six medals that were awarded in the individual competition. The most successful male student was Jovan Gavrilović from the 50th class of the MVS, while the most successful female student in the competition was Ana Stajkov from the 48th class of the MVS.
