New medals for military shooters at the Serbian Championship

Members of the Military Academy’s shooting club “Akademac” achieved excellent results by winning two team titles and three individual medals at the Serbian Senior Championship in Gornji Milanovac which ended today.

The Minister of Defence Aleksandar Vulin sent a congratulatory message to the members of “Akademac” on the medals won and wished them and all military sportsmen new successes on local and international competitions which confirm the high quality of military sport.
The most successful shooter among the military competitors was civilian employee Dimitrije Grgić, who, after his triumph in the mixed team event and winning the second gold medal in the air pistol event for seniors, ended the championship in a great way.

The men’s team consisting of Lieutenant Petar Nikolić, Second Lieutenant Srđan Matović and civilian employee Dimitrije Grgić, who competed in the pistol event, defended the title of vice-champions of Serbia, while the women’s team, consisting of Second Lieutenant Tamara Đorđević, cadet Katarina Malinić and civilian employee Jasmina Milovanović, achieved the best team ranking so far by winning the third place in the competition.

The air rifle and pistol shooting season of the Serbian Shooting Sport Federation has ended with the Serbian Championship, and the members of the "Akademac" shooting club will have the first next check at the international tournament "Ištvan Poljanac", which will be held at the Military Academy from 3 to 5 April.
