Best athlet in 2018



Lance Corporal Djuro Borbelj was born on 16 May 1995. He joined professional military service in November 2016. He is a bridge servant in the 18th Engineer Battalion of the 1st Army Brigade.

He participated in the Multinational Operation in Lebanon from December 2018 to May 2019.

He is a member of the Apatin Athletic Club.

As an active athlete he performs for the Serbian National Team and the SAF National Team and in a short time achieved very remarkable results.

He participated in several competitions in Serbia and abroad, won 4 first places, 2 second places, 3 third places and in the Treil race on Kopaonik he was the best placed athlete of the Serbian Armed Forces.

At the Seventh World Military Games, held in October 2019 in Chinese town Wuhan, he achieved the result in marathon event of 2 hours 29 minutes and 23 seconds thus setting a new record of the Serbian Armed Forces in that event.
